Tortilla Town adds slow-cooked barbacoa to Paso Robles menu

Tortilla Town, a family-run Mexican restaurant in Paso Robles, California, has introduced slow-cooked barbacoa to its regular menu. The seasoned beef is prepared by marinating it with garlic, oregano, and adobo spices before simmering it slowly in its own juices.

The new addition is available in various formats, including burritos, tacos, and plated meals. The restaurant serves the meat alongside tortillas that are hand-pressed from corn masa daily. Owner Roger Sharp noted that the barbacoa is a time-intensive dish intended to complement the restaurant’s existing menu of carne asada, al pastor, carnitas, and chile verde.
