Tortona, Peschiera and Tortolì enact new traffic and parking measures
The municipality of Tortona approved a new “urban planning relevance zone” covering Via Mariano Dellepiane and surrounding streets. The measure aims to reorganise traffic and parking in a heavily used industrial and residential corridor, introduce dedicated signage and horizontal markings, and improve safety for commuters and local businesses.
In Peschiera, authorities imposed an urgent temporary closure of Via Trento after a fault was detected in a methane gas pipe. Technicians sealed the damaged section and repaired the road surface, with traffic expected to resume later the same day following safety checks.
Tortolì’s city council issued a traffic‑flow plan that makes Via Lanusei a one‑way street entering from Via Umberto toward Via Aspromonte and reverses direction on Via Caprera. Similar one‑way changes were adopted in nearby Arbatax, affecting Via Napoli, Via Bellavista, Via Genova and related routes, to alleviate congestion and enhance road safety.
