Tortona to host Nova Run 10km race on September 20

The inaugural Nova Run, a 10-kilometer running event, is scheduled to take place in Tortona on Sunday, September 20. Organized by ASD DK Runners in collaboration with Azalai Asd Tortona and the Cittadella dello Sport, the race will feature both competitive and non-competitive participants.

Notable athletes participating include marathoner Valeria Straneo, Daniele Meucci, Ahmed Ouhda, Luca Alfieri, Thomas D’Este, Rebecca Lonedo, and Gaia Sabbatini. The event coincides with the first anniversary of the Nova Arena and includes a fundraising initiative for the Fondazione Asino Ets to support scholarships for young neurosurgeons.

The race is set to start at 9:00 AM and conclude around 11:00 AM at the Nova Arena. Due to the event, the Municipality of Tortona has announced temporary traffic restrictions and road closures across several key areas, including Corso Repubblica, Via Emilia, Piazza Duomo, and various state roads (SS 10 and SS 211). Authorities have advised that vehicle access will be restricted during the passage of athletes to ensure safety.
