Italy promotes biodiversity and sustainable development through regional initiatives

Various regional initiatives across Italy are focusing on biodiversity, environmental conservation, and sustainable development. In Torino, Slow Food will host Terra Madre Salone del Gusto 2026, featuring educational programs and games to promote food diversity and the ‘Arca del Gusto’ heritage.

Environmental protection efforts include the Fondo Forestale Italiano’s event in Perugia, which discusses the collaboration between businesses and forests, highlighting the successful acquisition of the Bosco delle Sette Valli through private donations. Similarly, in Gaifana, discussions are centered on truffle cultivation and its link to ecosystem preservation.
