Toruń Marshal's Office to decide on controversial therapeutic yacht grant

Controversy has emerged regarding the allocation of grants from the Trzy Doliny Local Action Group (LGD), intended to support innovative rural economies. Among the projects identified is a proposal for a ‘therapeutic yacht’ which has received the second-highest score in the selection process and seeks over 396,000 PLN in funding.

Minister of Agriculture Stefan Krajewski clarified that while the yacht project is within the agricultural budget pool, funding has not yet been released or contracts signed. The final decision rests with the Marshal's Office in Toruń. The regional government must conduct a formal assessment to ensure the project is feasible, justified by its intended goals, and cost-effective through a simplified business plan.
