Toruń prepares for holiday season with new municipal Christmas tree

The city of Toruń is preparing for the holiday season by seeking a new municipal Christmas tree to be placed near the Nicolaus Copernicus monument.

The planned tree must stand between 10 and 11.5 meters tall with a base diameter of at least 4.98 meters. The structure will be made of steel to meet wind load requirements, featuring aluminum decorations and a three-dimensional snowflake topper illuminated with cold white LED lights.

To create a festive atmosphere, the installation will include at least 14,000 warm white LED lights, gold and silver ornaments, and 2D personalized pendants referencing local symbols and traditions. The display will also feature animated stars and a sign reading ‘Toruń Życzy Wesołych Świąt’. For safety, the tree will be secured with ballast and guy wires, with all electrical components operating at a safe voltage of 36V.
