TotalEnergies plans hydrocarbon investments in Tierra del Fuego

Governor Gustavo Melella met with executives from TotalEnergies and the Total Wintershall PanAmerican consortium to discuss planned investments in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. The initiatives aim to sustain and expand hydrocarbon production through both offshore and onshore operations.

Energy Minister Gabriela Castillo stated that the company’s proposal includes interventions in existing production areas, such as drilling new wells in Tobífera. While some short-term works to improve current wells are already underway in the northern part of the province, new exploratory opportunities are projected for early 2027. Castillo noted that while exploration requires longer-term planning, these concrete projects provide a clear timeline for future production.
