Wolff shared an anecdote involving the late Niki Lauda, who questioned how such distractions could be permitted during a race weekend. However, Wolff noted that Hamilton's ability to perform on the catwalk did not hinder his track performance, as he subsequently secured a historic pole position. Wolff emphasized that he avoids forcing drivers into rigid structures, prioritizing their well-being and individual needs to extract peak performance.

Additionally, Wolff addressed the financial constraints facing Mercedes under the current cost cap regulations. He explained that the team must make strategic decisions regarding component production and upgrades.
