Tottenham announces Sydney Super Cup squad, goalkeeper Vicario omitted with minor injury

Tottenham Hotspur released a 35‑man travelling party for its pre‑season tour of New Zealand and Australia, culminating in the Sydney Super Cup matches in late July. The squad features record signing Sandro Tonali, who arrived for the 2026‑27 season after a AUD 192 million deal, along with other recent acquisitions Mateus Fernandes, Richarlison and James Maddison. Several World Cup‑participating players, including Pedro Porro and Cristian Romero, remain at Hotspur Way for rehabilitation and will not travel.

Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario was left out of the tour after sustaining a slight physical problem during training. He remains under contract until 2028 and is reportedly under consideration for a loan move, with Napoli showing interest as part of a potential swap involving Vanja Milinković‑Savić. The remainder of the list includes domestic and foreign out‑field players such as Micky van de Ven, Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski.
