Tottenham Hotspur launches aggressive summer rebuild under Roberto De Zerbi
Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi is steering an ambitious overhaul of the squad ahead of the next season. The club is monitoring Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush, whose versatility and pressing ability fit De Zerbi’s system, and is also eyeing midfielders Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes despite competition from other Premier League clubs. Reports say Tottenham have offered Tonali a £12 million‑a‑year contract to secure his services.
In addition to new signings, De Zerbi is extending contracts for key players. Goalkeeper Antonín Kinský is expected to sign a long‑term deal after a recent signing of Martin Dubravka, while outfielders Ben Davies, Pedro Porro and Dutch centre‑back Micky van de Ven are also in line for new agreements.
These moves aim to address the team’s inconsistent attacking performances last season and to build a squad capable of competing at the top of the Premier League.
