Tottenham Hotspur faces pressure amid poor start and manager speculation

Tottenham Hotspur is facing significant instability following a poor start to the Premier League season, having secured only two points from five matches. Despite heavy summer investment exceeding £300 million—including signings such as Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Savio, and Tosin Adarabioyo—the club remains at the bottom of the table.

Manager Roberto De Zerbi is under intense pressure, with speculation regarding his replacement. Potential candidates include former Liverpool manager Arne Slot and former Spurs coach Mauricio Pochettino. While the club has bolstered its defense with players like Jan Paul van Hecke and Marcos Senesi, reports suggest they may not prioritize a new centre-back in January, despite interest in Kim Min-jae.

In terms of player recruitment, Tottenham is reportedly monitoring Brighton winger Kaoru Mitoma for a potential reunion with De Zerbi. Additionally, the club has been linked to AC Milan players Fikayo Tomori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek as they look to add depth and experience to the squad during the upcoming winter transfer window.
