Tottenham Hotspur considers executive restructure amid winless start

Tottenham Hotspur is navigating a difficult start to the 2026/27 Premier League campaign, currently sitting at the bottom of the table after five winless matches. Despite the poor results, the club hierarchy remains “relatively calm,” viewing the current period as expected growing pains within a long-term project led by head coach Roberto De Zerbi.

The club is reportedly considering a restructure of its sporting management, which may include appointing an additional senior executive or co-sporting director to assist with football operations.

In terms of squad reinforcement, Tottenham is exploring options for the January transfer window to address issues at left-wing. The club has expressed interest in Benfica’s 20-year-old winger Gianluca Prestianni, who has recorded five goals and three assists in seven league matches. Prestianni is also being monitored by Aston Villa and Atletico Madrid.

Additionally, former manager Sean Dyche has revealed that Tottenham made contact through intermediaries regarding a potential managerial role prior to the appointment of De Zerbi.
