Tottenham Hotspur eye Benfica targets in transfer window

Tottenham Hotspur is actively scouting Benfica players to bolster its squad during the upcoming January transfer window. The North London club has identified striker Vangelis Pavlidis as a top priority to address goalscoring deficiencies. Pavlidis, a Greece international, has scored 14 goals in 13 appearances this season. However, Benfica appears determined to retain him, reportedly offering salary increases and considering contract extensions to prevent his departure.

Additionally, Tottenham is monitoring Benfica youngster Daniel Banjaqui. The teenage full-back, who has made senior appearances for Benfica and the Portuguese Under-21s, is attracting interest from several major European clubs, including Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, and Atletico Madrid. Banjaqui currently holds a contract until 2031 that includes a €45 million release clause.
