Tottenham Hotspur eyes Mauro Icardi to strengthen attack

Argentine striker Mauro Icardi is reportedly a target for Tottenham Hotspur as the club seeks to bolster its offensive capabilities. Following his departure from Galatasaray, the 33-year-old free agent has been without a club for several months. Tottenham is reportedly evaluating his incorporation to address a difficult start to the season, where the team currently sits 17th in the standings.

Previously, Icardi was linked with a move to Lazio in Serie A. However, Lazio manager Gennaro Gattuso addressed the rumors, stating that while Icardi is a high-quality player with over 250 career goals, the club had already made its tactical choices regarding players like Pinamonti and Gudmundsson. Gattuso noted that he preferred not to pursue the transfer to avoid disrupting squad balance and locker room dynamics.
