Tottenham Hotspur face injury setbacks for Kulusevski and Maddison
Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed that Dejan Kulusevski has suffered a minor injury setback. The 26-year-old Swedish international had recently returned to full training following a 450-day absence due to a complicated kneecap injury and two surgeries.
De Zerbi noted that while Kulusevski began training at the start of the week, a “small, small problem” prevented him from participating in the last two days of sessions. However, the manager expressed optimism, stating the issue is “nothing of importance” and that the player is still in a good position regarding his recovery.
Additionally, James Maddison is expected to miss the upcoming Premier League match against Nottingham Forest. Maddison, who missed much of the previous season with an ACL injury, is currently recovering from a shoulder fracture sustained during a match against Brentford.
