Tottenham Hotspur launches venture platform and extends AIA partnership

Tottenham Hotspur has launched Hotspur Labs, a new venture platform established in partnership with The Players Fund. The initiative marks the first Premier League club to create a dedicated platform targeting sports technology, sustainability, and fan experience businesses. Rather than traditional cash sponsorships, the model utilizes access to the club’s stadium, digital channels, and global fanbase in exchange for equity and co-development commitments.

On the pitch, manager Roberto De Zerbi has addressed the club’s recent performance following a summer transfer spending spree exceeding £300 million. Despite the team sitting in 17th place in the Premier League, De Zerbi stated he feels no pressure regarding the financial investment, focusing instead on the integration of new players. Additionally, the club’s global principal partner, AIA, has extended its partnership to serve as Tottenham’s global training partner through 2032.
