Tottenham Hotspur lose Monaco talent to PSG and keep eyes on new strikers

Tottenham Hotspur have spent close to £240 million on new signings this window, adding Mateus Fernandes, Sandro Tonali, Jan Paul van Hecke and others to strengthen the defence and midfield. The club’s pursuit of attacking midfielder Maghnes Akliouche fell through after Paris Saint‑Germain confirmed they have secured the 24‑year‑old on a long‑term deal until 2031. Akliouche, a member of Didier Deschamps’ France squad, chose the Ligue 1 champions over the North London side.

Spurs remain active in the market, targeting Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Krouppi. Reports say Tottenham are prepared to meet the south‑coast club’s €100 million asking price and have been urged by manager Roberto de Zerbi to intensify the chase.
