Tottenham Hotspur may slash Richarlison asking price for January exit
Tottenham Hotspur is expected to reduce the asking price for striker Richarlison ahead of the January transfer window. Following a failed summer move that included a collapsed return to Everton, the 29-year-old Brazilian is no longer part of manager Roberto De Zerbi’s plans and has been excluded from the club’s Premier League squad.
Reports suggest Tottenham may now accept offers between £15m and £20m, a significant decrease from the £35m valuation discussed during the summer. The club previously rejected a £20m offer from Trabzonspor, but the player's lack of competitive involvement and high wages may force a more flexible stance to resolve the situation.
Former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood expressed sympathy for the player, stating it was a “shame” that the club did not facilitate an exit during the summer. Despite his current exclusion from the first-team plans, Richarlison was the club's top scorer in the Premier League last season with 11 goals.
