Tottenham Hotspur has ruled out the possibility of signing free agent Mauro Icardi, ending recent speculation regarding the Argentine striker's move to North London.

While the 33-year-old forward is currently without a club following his departure from Galatasaray, the primary obstacle is administrative rather than a lack of talent. Tottenham has already submitted its 25-man squad for the Premier League season. Due to these registration rules, Icardi would be unable to play in official matches until the January transfer window opens.

In addition to registration constraints, the club is reportedly considering financial factors, including Icardi's salary expectations. Tottenham is currently focusing on its existing attacking options, which include players like Savinho and Omar Marmoush, rather than adding an experienced striker to the budget at this time.
