Tottenham Hotspur seeks new deal for Luca Williams-Barnett

Tottenham Hotspur is working to secure a new contract for 18-year-old attacking midfielder Luca Williams-Barnett to fend off interest from major European clubs, including Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

Despite being a highly regarded prospect and an England U19 international, Williams-Barnett has yet to make a Premier League debut. Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi has described the player as having a “special talent” and “special personality,” noting that while managing very young players is complicated, the teenager possesses the necessary self-belief required for professional football.

Chelsea has reportedly expressed interest in the player, with potential moves being pursued in 2027 if he does not secure a regular role in the Tottenham first team. Tottenham is currently evaluating whether to integrate him into the senior squad or consider a loan move in January to provide him with necessary senior experience.
