Tottenham Hotspur shortlist five strikers for January transfer window

Tottenham Hotspur is preparing to recruit a new striker during the January transfer window to address a lack of clinical finishing. Under manager Roberto De Zerbi, the club has struggled to score, recording only three goals in six league matches, the lowest in the Premier League.

A five-man shortlist has been identified to reinforce the forward line. The potential targets include:

• Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace) • Vangelis Pavlidis (Benfica) • Roberto Fernandez (Espanyol) • Endrick (Real Madrid) • Igor Matanovic (Freiburg)

The club is looking for a reliable number nine as current options like Dominic Solanke face scrutiny and Richarlison is expected to be moved on. Jean-Philippe Mateta is noted as a Premier League-ready alternative, though he has dealt with recent injury issues.
