Tottenham Hotspur signs Savio from Manchester City for £75m

Tottenham Hotspur has completed the signing of 22-year-old Brazilian winger Savio from Manchester City. The transfer is valued at an initial £75 million, with potential add-ons bringing the total to approximately £85 million. This move marks a significant part of a squad overhaul led by manager Roberto De Zerbi, pushing Tottenham's summer spending past the £300 million mark.

Savio, who previously played under the name Savinho at Manchester City, has returned to his original professional name, Sávio, for his tenure in North London. He is expected to provide creativity and pace to the attack. In his debut for the club in a Carabao Cup match against Charlton Athletic, Sávio scored a goal and provided an assist after coming off the bench.

In addition to Savio, Tottenham is reportedly pursuing Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush on a loan deal that includes an obligation to buy for £60 million. Other recent summer arrivals at Tottenham include Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Jan Paul van Hecke, Andy Robertson, and Marcos Senesi.
