Tottenham Hotspur targets Benfica striker Vangelis Pavlidis

Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly making Benfica striker Vangelis Pavlidis a top priority for the upcoming January transfer window. The club is looking to bolster its attacking options, particularly as Richarlison is expected to depart.

Pavlidis has demonstrated significant form this season, recording 15 goals and four assists in 15 appearances. Despite Tottenham's interest, Benfica maintains a strong negotiating position due to a €100 million release clause in the Greece international's contract, which runs until 2029.

Benfica is reportedly keen to retain the striker through the winter period to maintain their attacking strength, preferring to evaluate transfer offers during the summer window to allow more time for finding a replacement. Pavlidis joined the Portuguese club from AZ Alkmaar in July 2024.
