Tottenham Hotspur undergoes squad rebuild and medical restructuring

Tottenham Hotspur is undergoing significant squad restructuring under manager Roberto De Zerbi. The club is actively managing player departures to facilitate a rebuild, having already generated approximately £184.2m from sales this season.

Key departures include Cristian Romero and Djed Spence, who are nearing moves to Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan, respectively. Additionally, Porto is in advanced negotiations to sign 20-year-old left-back Souza for a reported €20m (£17.4m). Other players identified as potential exits include Pape Sarr, valued at £30m, and Richarlison, who could depart if a £40m valuation is met.

Beyond transfers, the club is addressing internal challenges regarding player fitness. Following seasons impacted by high injury rates, Tottenham has seen turnover in its medical and performance departments, including the departure of head of medicine Geoff Scott and recent appointments of Adam Brett and Nick Davies to oversee sports science and performance services.
