Tottenham Hotspur rejects Liverpool interest in Micky van de Ven

Tottenham Hotspur has indicated it has no intention of selling defender Micky van de Ven, despite reported interest from Liverpool. The Dutch international is being viewed by Liverpool as a potential long-term successor to Virgil van Dijk.

Van de Ven recently signed a contract extension with Tottenham that runs until 2031, a move that provides the club with significant leverage in any future negotiations. While some reports have suggested a transfer fee could reach between £80 million and £90 million, Tottenham remains focused on building its future around the 25-year-old, who has also been named club captain.

Separately, Tottenham received positive news regarding player fitness. Both Micky van de Ven and Jan Paul van Hecke are reportedly recovering from non-serious injuries sustained during the international break and are expected to be available for upcoming Premier League fixtures.
