Tottenham in talks with Marseille and Lyon over player transfers

Olympique de Marseille are monitoring free midfielder Yves Bissouma, who left Tottenham in June 2026. The 29‑year‑old Malian has played about 250 professional matches and is valued at around €10 million, but would cost Marseille nothing. The club faces strong competition from Saudi and Spanish sides and must await DNCG approval before completing any deal.

Olympique Lyonnais have received a €26 million offer, including bonuses, from Tottenham for winger Malick Fofana. The 21‑year‑old Belgian forward is under contract until 2028 and would provide much‑needed liquidity for the French club. His agent is scheduled to travel to London to finalize the transfer, and Lyon’s former club Gent will retain a 20 percent sell‑on clause.

Both clubs are seeking to balance sporting needs with tight financial constraints, and Tottenham’s interest underscores the Premier League side’s broader recruitment strategy in France.
