Tottenham linked with Barcelona graduate Sergi Domínguez and Real Madrid eye defender Micky van de Ven
Tottenham Hotspur are reported to be negotiating a £7.7 million (£9 million) fee for 21‑year‑old Spanish centre‑back Sergi Domínguez, a product of Barcelona’s academy who spent last season on loan at Dinamo Zagreb. Barcelona retain a 20 % sell‑on clause and expect to receive around €2 million from the deal, while Italian side Lazio have also shown interest.
Separately, Dutch centre‑back Micky van de Ven, a 25‑year‑old Tottenham regular, has been linked with Real Madrid. Spanish media claim the club view him as a fit for José Mourinho’s defensive plans, with rumours of a transfer fee potentially exceeding €50 million, and speculation of even higher offers from English clubs. Van de Ven is also expected to feature for the Netherlands at the upcoming World Cup, using the tournament as a platform for a move.
Both stories highlight Tottenham’s active summer transfer market, with potential departures on both defensive lines.
