Tottenham Rejects Brighton Offer for Luka Vuskovic, Eyes Jan Paul van Hecke

Brighton submitted an initial bid of roughly €35 million (£30 million) for Croatian defender Luka Vuskovic. Tottenham Hotspur immediately rejected the offer and have set a valuation of about £60 million for the 19‑year‑old, with reports that personal terms between Brighton and Vuskovic have already been agreed. The Seagulls are expected to return with a higher proposal.

At the same time, Tottenham are pursuing Brighton centre‑back Jan Paul van Hecke. Personal terms with the Dutch defender have been settled, but Brighton’s asking price – reported between €80 million and £55 million – remains a stumbling block. Spurs have already had two bids rejected and a third, higher offer is anticipated. Tottenham have already secured free transfers of Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi as part of a broader defensive overhaul.
