Tottori’s Yonago to host barefoot mini sports day; Tokyo to hold Summer Splash water games

Yonago City in Tottori Prefecture will host a barefoot mini sports day on 10 October 2026 at Kaike Beach Park. The event features relay races, tug‑of‑war, jump rope, tag and other games for participants aged six to 18, with a fee of ¥1,000 for adults and ¥500 for children. Registration must be completed through an online form before the event date, and participants must sign a liability waiver.

From 1 August to 23 August 2026, livedoor Urban Sports Park in Odaiba, Tokyo, will run the “Summer Splash” festival each weekend. The program includes water‑gun team battles, a summer fair with shooting games and a chilled‑drink festival, plus cooling mist showers and an ice‑filled pool. Ticket prices start at ¥900, with special discounts for repeat visits. The festival is organized by Tokyo Sports Wellness Village Co., Ltd. and follows heat‑alert protocols to ensure safety.
