France reports multiple fatal incidents and violent crimes

Several violent incidents and fatal accidents have been reported across various French cities.

In Montpellier, a 16-year-old boy named Amine was fatally stabbed during a brawl in a park. A 17-year-old suspect has been taken into custody following the incident.

Toulouse reported two separate fatalities involving minors. One 17-year-old died following a police pursuit on a scooter after refusing a check; the youth struck a pole and suffered thoracic trauma. In a separate incident near Gardouch, a 31-year-old man died in a multi-vehicle collision involving a heavy goods vehicle on the A61 motorway.

In Lyon, a 40-year-old man was shot in the legs in the Gorge de Loup district, an act suspected to be ‘jambisation’, a tactic used by drug traffickers to intimidate rivals. This follows a shootout in Villeurbanne the previous day.

Other notable incidents include a 17-year-old in Marseille who died after consuming nitrous oxide, and a driver in Albi who crashed into a building after a high-speed police chase during an urban rodeo.
