Toulouse Lautrec showcases inclusive and sustainable fashion at Expodeco

The Toulouse Lautrec Higher School will present the ‘Fashion Lab: Innovation and Fashion’ at the Expodeco fair in La Molina from September 9 to 13. The exhibition is designed as a functional design atelier, featuring tools such as 3D printers, cutting tables, and computers to demonstrate the relationship between technology and creation.

One central project, ‘Prendas Amigables’ (Friendly Garments), was developed in collaboration with the Centro de Autismo Perú Caminito. This initiative focuses on designing children's clothing specifically for those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), prioritizing comfort, functionality, and ease of movement to simplify daily tasks like dressing.

The lab also explores sustainable and unconventional materials. Projects include ‘Circular Skin,’ developed with Qaya, which transforms fish skin from artisanal fishing into leather, and a collaboration with Caxacori Studio that investigates the use of biomaterials from the Amazon for clothing production.
