Toulouse musical ensembles announce new performances and appointments

The musical landscape in Toulouse sees significant developments with upcoming performances and new appointments. The Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse is scheduled to perform at La Halle on October 8, conducted by Lio Kuokman. The program features Fazil Say’s ‘Grand Bazaar’, a ten-minute work depicting various scenes of a bazaar, followed by Richard Strauss’s ‘Burlesque’ performed by pianist Nelson Goerner, and concluding with Rimsky-Korsakov’s ‘Scheherazade Suite’.

Additionally, the Orchestre de Chambre de Toulouse has announced the appointment of violinist Manon Galy as its guest principal soloist. Galy, a Toulouse native and recipient of the 2022 Victoires de la Musique Classique for instrumental soloist revelation, will collaborate with the ensemble on upcoming concerts, festivals, recordings, and international tours.
