Toulouse–Saint-Louis du Sénégal air rally to trace historic Aéropostale routes

The 42nd Toulouse–Saint-Louis du Sénégal air rally is scheduled to depart from Toulouse-Lasbordes on September 19, 2026. The approximately 10,000 km journey will follow the historic routes of the Latécoère and Aéropostale lines, connecting Europe and West Africa.

Morocco serves as a central segment of the itinerary. Following an initial stop in Alicante, crews will enter Morocco via Tetouan and travel through Rabat, Agadir, Tan-Tan, Laâyoune, and Dakhla. The return leg will include stops in Tarfaya, Ouarzazate, and Fez.

The 2026 edition holds particular symbolic importance as it marks the centenary of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s arrival on the line on October 14, 1926. Participants will visit Tarfaya to commemorate the pilot-author, whose time in the region inspired his first novel, ‘Courrier Sud’. The rally will feature fourteen aircraft and crews from France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
