Tour de Cine Francés celebrates 30 years in Mexico
The 30th anniversary of the Tour de Cine Francés will take place in Mexico from September 10 to October 14, 2026. In partnership with Cinépolis and various cultural venues, the festival will visit more than 76 cities, making it the only film festival to cover all states in the Mexican Republic.
The milestone edition features a selection of seven previously unreleased films in the country, alongside a retrospective of beloved titles from the festival's history. The programming includes works from various generations of directors, ranging from thrillers and comedies to political reflections and intimate dramas.
One featured film, ‘L’Abandon’ directed by Vincent Garenq, is based on true events regarding the final days of professor Samuel Paty in 2020. The festival serves as a significant platform for international film distribution and cultural exchange, providing a theatrical window for independent French cinema within the Mexican market.
