Marlen Reusser wins stage 4 time trial, takes yellow jersey at Tour de France Femmes

On 4 August 2026 the fourth stage of the Tour de France Femmes was an individual time trial covering 21 km from Gevrey‑Chambertin to Dijon. Swiss rider Marlen Reusser (Movistar) completed the course in 27 minutes 30 seconds, finishing four seconds ahead of Dutch rider Lieke Nooijen and 18 seconds ahead of fellow Dutch rider Demi Vollering. Reusser’s victory gave her the race’s first yellow jersey, overtaking Norway’s Sigrid Haugset in the general classification.

Defending champion Pauline Ferrand‑Prevot lost more than two minutes to Reusser, dropping out of the top ten in the overall standings. Other notable results included Zoe Backstedt (GBR) fourth, Kristen Faulkner (USA) sixth and Cédrine Kerbaol (FRA) seventh.

Fans criticised France TV for broadcasting only stages 1, 5 and 9 in full, leaving most of the stage‑4 time trial unseen on television. The limited coverage sparked anger on social media and prompted comments from French cycling officials.
