Kasper Haugland retains yellow jersey at Tour de l'Avenir

Norwegian cyclist Kasper Haugland of the Decathlon CMA CGM Development Team maintains his lead in the Tour de l'Avenir following the third stage. The stage, which covered over 230 kilometers between Vierzon and Saint-Vallier, was the longest of the edition and concluded with a mass sprint.

Italian rider Davide Stella of UAE Team Emirates Gen Z secured the stage victory, finishing ahead of Thomas Crapa and David Lewandowski. Despite late breakaway attempts by Magnus Carstensen and José Said Cisneros, the peloton caught the leaders within 500 meters of the finish line.

The general classification remains unchanged, with Haugland holding the yellow jersey ahead of Belgian Niels Driesen and Italian Lorenzo Finn. The competition continues with upcoming stages that will feature challenging terrain, including cobblestones in Semur-en-Auxois.
