Tour de Lombardie 2026 route announced

The route for the 2026 Tour de Lombardie has been officially unveiled. Following the tradition of alternating start and finish locations between Bergamo and Como, the race will begin in Bergamo and conclude in Como on Saturday, October 10.

The 239-kilometer course is expected to be highly demanding. Key climbs include the Selvino, which will serve as an early challenge, followed by the Berbenno and Valpiana tandem. A new, steep addition to the route is the Giovenzana climb, featuring average gradients of 9.2 percent and peaks of 16 percent. Other significant ascents include the Madonna del Ghisallo, the Civiglio, and the San Fermo della Battaglia, which will be climbed twice, with the final ascent occurring just five kilometers from the finish line.

Twenty-five teams are set to compete, including all 18 WorldTour formations. Automatic invitations have been granted to second-division teams Tudor, Pinarello Q36.5, and Cofidis, while RCS Sport has issued four additional invitations to Bardiani CSF 7 Saber, MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort, Team Polti Visit Malta, and Unibet Rose Rockets.
