Tour of Armenia joins UCI Europe Tour calendar

The inaugural Tour of Armenia will take place from September 10 to 13, 2026. The event has been officially added to the UCI Europe Tour calendar with a 2.2 classification.

Organized by the Armenian government and the Armenian Cycling Federation, the race features technical support from RCS Sports and Events DMCC. The four-day event covers 587 kilometers and 5,300 meters of elevation gain, traversing the Gegharkunik, Tavush, Lori, and Aragatsotn regions before concluding in the capital, Yerevan.

The route includes a 135-kilometer opening stage from Gavar to Mets Masrik, which passes Lake Sevan, and a challenging second stage from Kirants to Stepanavan involving 2,400 meters of climbing. The organizers aim to establish the tour as an annual event to promote professional cycling and sports tourism, strengthening Armenia’s reputation as a destination for international sporting competitions.
