Tourism and hospitality training programs launched in Algarve

The Algarve region is hosting several professional development initiatives aimed at the tourism and hospitality sectors. In Silves, the municipality, in partnership with Turismo de Portugal and the Portimão School of Hotel and Tourism, is launching a new edition of the ‘Formação + Próxima’ program. This initiative offers free, certified training sessions starting October 26, covering topics such as emotional intelligence, artificial intelligence for SMEs, and social media marketing strategies.

Additionally, Quinta da Plansel is bringing internationally recognized WSET wine certification courses to the region. Scheduled for mid-November at the Vila Vita Parc Hotel in Porches, these English-language courses are designed for hospitality professionals and enthusiasts. The program includes Level 1 and Level 2 certifications, focusing on wine styles, service, and sensory analysis to cater to the Algarve's international demographic.
