Tourism certifications issued in Oaxaca and union leadership ruling in Argentina

In Mexico, the Oaxaca State Secretariat of Tourism (Sectur Oaxaca) has issued over 120 certifications and distinctions to tourism service providers across the Valles Centrales, Mixteca, Istmo, and Sierra de Juárez regions. These credentials, which include National Tourism Registry certificates and quality seals, aim to professionalize the sector and improve service quality for domestic and international visitors.

In Argentina, a court ruling has ordered the Ministry of Human Capital to certify the elected authorities of the Union of Hotel, Gastronomic and Tourism Workers of Argentina (UTHGRA). The decision follows a request by General Secretary Luis Barrionuevo, ending eight months of administrative silence regarding the elections held on December 29, 2025. The court noted that the delay caused harm to the union's institutional functioning and worker wages.
