Tourism expands through cultural routes in Northern Cyprus and Gümüşhane

Tourism sectors in Northern Cyprus and Gümüşhane are seeing diverse growth through cultural and scenic attractions. In Northern Cyprus, efforts are underway to extend the tourism season across all four seasons by diversifying offerings beyond coastal resorts. New routes are being developed to highlight historical sites, local cuisine, and nature, spanning from Kyrenia and Famagusta to Nicosia and Karpaz.

In Gümüşhane, a glass observation terrace located near Torul Castle has hosted 67,786 domestic and foreign visitors this season. The terrace provides panoramic views and is situated near major landmarks such as Zigana Mountain, Limni Lake, and Karaca Cave. Local operators noted that social media sharing by international tourists has helped increase regional interest.
