Torrijos announces dates for 2026 medieval festival

The municipality of Torrijos in Toledo has confirmed that the XX Chronicles of King Don Pedro will take place on March 20, 21, and 22, 2026. This annual event serves as a major tourist attraction, transforming the town center into a medieval village.

The festival features historical reenactments based on documented events from 1353, specifically celebrating the festivities organized by King Pedro I of Castile following the birth of his daughter, Infanta Beatriz. The program includes theatrical performances, parades, workshops, archery, sword demonstrations, and a medieval market. Local associations and collectives are involved in coordinating the preparations to provide activities for both adults and families.
