Tourism industry leaders prioritize value and profitability over volume
The tourism and hospitality sectors are shifting their focus from volume-based growth to value-driven profitability and sustainability. Industry leaders will gather at the Tourism Innovation Summit (TIS) 2026 in Seville from October 6 to 8 to discuss strategies for maintaining competitiveness amidst rising costs, talent shortages, and rapid technological acceleration.
David Torres, Country Director of Sales Spain for Radisson Hotel Group, noted that corporate travel and the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) segment remain strategic pillars for growth. He highlighted that companies are increasingly prioritizing return on investment, sustainability, and high-value experiences. Radisson is adapting by offering flexible meeting spaces and high-quality technology to meet evolving traveler demands.
Other industry executives, including leaders from ILUNION Hotels and Guitart Hotels, will address the paradigm shift toward a tourism model centered on resilience and positive territorial impact. The summit will explore how hotel groups can achieve profitable growth while navigating social and regulatory demands.
