Tourism sectors in Pontevedra and León report high occupancy during Pilar holiday
The tourism and hospitality sectors in Pontevedra and León are experiencing high occupancy rates during the Pilar holiday weekend.
In Pontevedra, hotels are reaching near-full capacity due to a combination of favorable weather, pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago, and various local events such as the Band Contest and the Pet Show. Local hospitality representatives note that this high demand is part of a growing trend of extended profitability beyond the summer months.
Similarly, in León, the hospitality association predicts occupancy rates between 90% and 95% in the capital for the central nights of the weekend. While rural areas expect around 70% occupancy, the city benefits from cultural and gastronomic programming, including the Morcilla Route. This surge follows a record-breaking summer for the region.
