Tourism stakeholders in Serbia and Croatia focus on regional development
The 16th Tourism Forum of Serbia was held in Kragujevac, bringing together tourism organizations, institutions, and industry representatives to discuss the development and promotion of Serbia as a destination through 2030. Key topics included the upcoming EXPO 2027, the integration of digital platforms, and the practical application of artificial intelligence to maintain competitiveness while preserving authenticity.
In Croatia, the ‘Hidden Dalmatia’ project hosted a field education session titled ‘All the Colors of Mosor’ in the Split-Dalmatia County. The initiative focused on training outdoor guides, agency owners, and local community members in storytelling and heritage interpretation. The goal is to enhance the quality of tourism in the Dalmatian hinterland by creating authentic outdoor experiences based on the region's natural and cultural heritage.
Both events emphasize strategic shifts toward digital innovation, sustainable practices, and the use of storytelling to elevate regional tourism offerings for both domestic and international visitors.
