Tourism trends expand in Portugal and Brazil
The tourism sectors in Portugal and Brazil are seeing distinct developments in travel planning and property ownership. In Portugal, CascaiShopping is hosting the Cruise Market from September 25 to 27. Organized by the travel agency Loja de Cruzeiros, the event offers various cruise options, including Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Nordic routes, as well as itineraries departing directly from Lisbon. The event also features the official launch of the 2027/2028 Annual Catalogue and introduces premium options such as yacht and sailboat voyages.
In Brazil, the shared vacation and multipropriety market is experiencing significant growth, particularly in the Northeast region. According to data from Caio Calfat Real Estate Consulting and ADIT Brasil, the Brazilian multipropriety market reached a potential Gross Sales Value (VGV) of R$ 92.7 billion in 2025. The market is expanding across 18 states, with a distinction being made between multipropriety, which involves legal ownership of a fraction of a property, and the right of use, which is a contractual right to use a structure for defined periods without real estate ownership.
