Tourist injured during waterfall rappelling accident in China

A tourist named Tang was injured after becoming trapped while attempting to rappel down a waterfall in Yangjiaotan, China. The incident occurred on August 15, when Tang became entangled in ropes and remained suspended for several minutes, struggling to breathe.

Tang claims he explicitly asked his group leader if the descent was safe before proceeding, and was told there was no problem. While the tour company covered medical expenses, Tang has expressed dissatisfaction, seeking further compensation for lost income, lost personal belongings, and psychological distress. He was subsequently hospitalized and diagnosed with acute stress reaction.

The company's director has disputed some of Tang's claims, asserting that the group leader acted immediately to rescue him once the accident occurred, stating the rescue process took approximately three minutes.
