Tours Volley-Ball defeats Nice Volley-Ball in season opener

Nice Volley-Ball lost 3-1 to Tours Volley-Ball in their opening match of the French first division season, now known as Alterna Volstar. Despite a roster overhaul during the summer break, the Nice squad, referred to as the Eagles, provided significant competition to the home side.

Tours Volley-Ball, a dominant French club and European contender, utilized new recruit Earvin N’Gapeth to secure the first set with a 25-17 victory. While Nice showed resilience and motivation in subsequent play, they were unable to overcome the championship-level experience of the Tours team.
