Towhid Hridoy scores historic 350 for Bangladesh A

Towhid Hridoy has set a historic record for Bangladesh cricket, scoring an unbeaten 350 runs for Bangladesh A against South Africa A in Potchefstroom. This performance marks the highest individual score in first-class cricket by any Bangladeshi batter, surpassing the previous record of 334 set by Tamim Iqbal in 2019.

Hridoy is the first Bangladeshi batter to achieve a first-class triple century outside of his home country and the first player representing Bangladesh A to reach the milestone. His innings, which spanned 481 balls and included 27 fours and ten sixes, helped propel Bangladesh A to a declared total of 676 for eight after they had initially struggled at 86 for three.

During the match, Hridoy anchored the recovery through significant partnerships, including a 151-run stand with Jaker Ali and a 185-run partnership with Mohammad Saifuddin. While the match ultimately ended in a draw, Hridoy joins Tamim Iqbal and Raqibul Hasan as the only three Bangladeshi players to score a triple century in first-class cricket.
