Town of Wallkill Police Officer Saves Choking Woman

An 82-year-old woman was saved from choking on a piece of candy by a police officer at a Bob's Discount Furniture store in Middletown, New York.

Town of Wallkill Police Officer Heather Dunnigan arrived at the scene less than one minute after dispatch and provided immediate medical care to remove the obstruction. Following the incident, the woman was treated by Town of Wallkill Emergency Medical Services and transported to Garnet Health Medical Center. Authorities stated she was conscious and alert, with an expected full recovery.
